Saturday #152

It was a nice day weather wise in the great state of Ohio. We loaded up in the car and took Rolf to Mansfield for an Easter Egg hunt. Within 10 minutes of the start the eggs were all gone, they had an amazing turn out. We were a little disappointed to find they actually started early, as we got there (4 minutes after the scheduled start time) people were leaving in droves, there were no more eggs for the kids to find.

Rolf didn't really care. He found a few kids to play with so he was happy.

After things wrapped up there, Rolf and I went for a haircut. then made quick run into the grocery store.

When we got home, put the groceries away and had a snack we headed back outside for a while. He enjoyed playing with trucks and scooping pebbles from one place to another while I tackled the not so fun aspect of pet ownership... Pooper Scooper duty.

I wanted to keep Rolf outside and busy while my husband wrote a paper for school, so we enjoyed a small campfire and plenty of play time with trucks. When we were properly dirty and starting to get cold after our little campfire had gone out we went in for a bubble bath. Then I tackled the task of cooking dinner.

All in all it wasn't the most exciting day, but it was a day we spent together as a family. We made the most of the sunny weather and took the time for relaxing. I knew Sunday would not be as zen with the Easter holiday and the visit from the mother in law.

I hope your family had a great Saturday too!

  1. That sounds like a nice day.On saturdays I usually enter giveaways for half the day.Now that the weather is nice I like to pack a lunch, grab a frap at starbucks and head to the marina.I bring a book to eat and relax.I live 5 minutes from it,it's a beautiful place to go.Sometimes I'll feed the ducks or just sit to look out at the water.Good place to pray too.

  2. Well, usually the kids and I just relax. My kids and I are trying to get everything together to move to ND from MI. We're leaving July 1st or 2nd. So we're continuing to box everything up and sort through things.

  4. I dont do much. If my 4 month old grandson is here. .(he comes to stay 3-4 days a week) then I spend my time with him. If he isnt here that weekend, I make plans to go out with my friends. I also have 2 other grandbabies that I try to see take for weekends.

  5. On Saturdays I sleep in a little bit, cause during weekdays I work, so I look forward to sleeping in 2 extra hours on Saturdays, and then its Tea time for Breakfast, and then cleaning house, Laundry. At nightime, I watch a Movie on T.V. or on Facebook, and sometimes I go out to a Movie, or Dinner.
