Tips for Buying a Used Car

We have talked about buying a bigger car for months now, but finding a used car that is dependable and priced right has been a challenge. I am going to share a few tips to make finding a family car easier than ever with you.

1) Better Safe than Sorry
I have been burnt on a used car purchase before. I recommend having any car inspected before you buy it off the street. Take it from me, when I say that taking a knowledgeable friend along to look things over can save you thousands of dollars in repairs!

2) Just Say No To Craigslist
Craigslist is a cesspool of humanity. Last weekend I jumped for joy, truly thinking I found the perfect used SUV for my family. After a few back and forth exchanges with a woman claiming to have listed it for her mother, it was revealed that this was in fact, a scam. Save the trouble and just don't even look on Craigslist.

3) Browse Online
I love for car shopping. It makes narrowing the search down a breeze, and comparing the cars that catch my eye helps me to decide exactly what it is I am looking for!  It is so much easier than driving all over town to browse!

If you have a tip for making car buying a breeze, I would love to hear about it in a comment! We hope to conclude our search for the ideal car within the next 2 weeks!
